If you've chosen the option to convert to an Excel File, your PDF2XL application may appear to get hung up during the saving phase of the conversion.
Occasionally, PDF2XL will complete the conversion, but the Excel application gets stuck trying to open it. As this is an Excel-specific issue, it's not something we are able to fix.
However, you can avoid this situation by accessing the Settings menu and going to the Excel tab. From there, you can remove the checkmark from the "Open file after conversion" option.
You will need to remember where you saved your converted file to so you can access it.
