Under General > Program Updates is a simple checkbox that will automatically run the updates when you launch the application, or notify you that an update is available, based on your update option settings.
You can access the settings by opening your Command Prompt and entering the following command, then press the Enter key:
C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\Cogniview\PDF2XL\[version number]\updater /configure
This will open the settings dialogue so you can choose how your updates occur:
