Basic PDF2XL information and Operating System Requirements

  • Name of Software: PDF2XL. 

  • Edition Options: Home, Business, Enterprise, Pro (perpetual)

  • Programming Language: C / C++

  • Operating System Compatibility:  Desktop: Windows 8, 8.1, Windows 10, 11 | Server: Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, or 2016

  • Processor: *1.5GHz or faster multi-core processor (*Advanced OCR requires AVX2 support, available in most processors released since 2012)

  • RAM: 4GB of RAM

  • Available Disk Space: 380MB of available hard-disk space

  • Screen Resolution: 1024x768 screen resolution

  • Third-Party Tools integration: Google Tesseract 4.0, Xpdf

  • SDK: We do not have anSDK but we do have the Enterprise edition that provides a command line utility you can launch silently to integrate inside whatever other process you are running. 

  • Layout Repository:  Layouts are saved in 'C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Roaming\Cogniview\PDF2XL[OCR/Enterprise]\Library' or go to 'Start -> Run-> %AppData% , then go to Cogniview -> PDF2XL -> Library'.

  • Command Line: Command Line commands on our site are available in all editions, however, Enterprise v8+ has many more options. Note that you can't open a layout with non-command line versions from the command line but if you had created a layout for that filename it should load it automatically.
