If you're a Windows 10 user and you've just installed PDF2XL, you might encounter an issue finding your installed program on the Windows 10 Start Menu. While this is a Windows 10 issue, there is a way to correct it.
The first thing you want to do is make sure that your program was successfully installed. Do do this, you'll want to navigate to C:/Program Files (x86)/CogniView/PDF2XL [EDITION].
In that folder you should see a PDF2XL.EXE application. This icon may be blue, green, red, or yellow, depending on which edition of PDF2XL you have installed.
Double-click on that icon and see if PDF2XL starts up for you.
Once you have confirmed that the program is running properly, you can work on getting it to show up in your Start menu.
Right-click and copy the PDF2XL application.
Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\CogniView - If you don't see the ProgramData folder, make sure the "Hidden Items" option is selected under the File Explorer View tab.
Paste the copied application into the CogniView folder.
Restart your computer (no changes will take effect until you do).
If the above steps haven't solved the problem, you might also want to create a folder in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs called "CogniView" and paste the application there.
Alternatively, if you've uninstalled PDF2XL and you're still seeing it in your Start menu, you can use the same steps as above only, this time, delete the files from the folders.
