PDF2XL does not require Administrator Rights to run, but it is required for installation.

This is a Windows security feature and affects any program installation that modifies system files or restricted registry groups.

If you try to install PDF2XL without Administrator Rights, it may fail to install or you might see an error message like:
"Could not write value to key/SOFTWARE.
Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."

You may see a prompt like the one below when trying to install. It could say " Do you want to allow this program to be installed on this computer" or something similar. It is necessary to select "Yes" to continue with the installation.

If you are not logged into your machine as an Administrator, you can right-click on the downloaded file and select " Run as administrator" to install it. You will need the administrator's password to continue.

Since this is a Windows feature, PDF2XL developers are not able to bypass this security setting. Please contact your IT department or administrator for assistance.

*If you are still getting the Administrator password prompt when running PDF2XL, please check your Windows User Account Contol.
